Montessori Moviemaking Camp
A Summer Program
Now in its fifth year of production, the Montessori Moviemaking Camp is a summer
camp for aspiring filmmakers, or those who just want to have fun making movies,
where they can develop real skills in the art of digital video moviemaking.
Students will learn about all facets of movie production in a detailed, creative,
and fun environment as they plan, shoot, and edit a digital movie of their own!
The two-week camp is designed for 8-13 year-olds.
By the end, each student will have a DVD of all student work!
New students are introduced to the moviemaking process while learning
about and practicing such topics as storyboards, camera techniques, computer
video editing and DVD creation.
Returning students work more in-depth on elements such as camera framing
and angle, story pacing and flow, working with “actors”, and story mood. Also,
this year, returning filmmakers will produce and direct a “genre” picture!
Date: Mon-Fri, June 20-July1
Time: 9:00-4:00
Cost: $360 for the two week camp
Lunch is provided at no additional charge.
